When I first moved to Arlington from Houston, I was immediately struck by a palpable sense of pride and purpose that radiates from every corner of this city. As someone who has spent time on space missions and served with SEAL teams around the globe, I’ve come to recognize the importance of community, resilience, and unity. From day one, Arlington welcomed me not just with open arms, but with a spirit that reminded me of the teams I’ve been proud to serve with—tight-knit, mission-focused, and driven. This is a city that doesn’t wait for opportunity to knock; it rolls up its sleeves and builds the door.

It’s no surprise that so many incredible things have taken root in this community—this is a place where bold ideas are embraced, and where hard work and heart go hand in hand. The support the National Medal of Honor Museum has received from the City of Arlington and its citizens has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the earliest planning stages to where we stand today, we’ve felt the full weight of this city’s belief in our mission. Honoring our nation’s greatest heroes is a sacred responsibility, and having a community like Arlington behind us makes that mission even more meaningful.
