Picture
My passion for photography, history and storytelling goes all the way back to my childhood.  I learned the basics of photography taking pictures of trains.  I found the secret of becoming a very good photographer was practice, practice, practice, then evaluating and making adjustments.  The digital age of photography has made it easy to evaluate your last picture and make the needed changes to becoming better.  The first book I wrote with a friend of mine was all about the famous Warbonnet paint scheme and trains of the Santa Fe Railroad.

My love of history comes from reading stories of World War Two and just reading in general.  I still love a good book on history.  The vacations we took as a family every year to historic places in the US and Canada.

I grasped the power of good storytelling from all the books I've read.  As I slowly mastered skill of blending story and images together, I discovered how the two combined can change people's lives and bring them great value.

I've always had a curiosity to learn more about the places I've called home. Arlington is no exception.  So, I started carrying my camera around town taking pictures and hearing interesting stories about this town and how it has transformed from small railroad town of under 10,000 people to a World Class city approaching half a million in population.

I decided that this is a story that needs to be told.  I hope you will be encouraged and inspired by what I found.
